1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

4. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (for Driver Side)

5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
(c) Disconnect the front door lock open rod as shown in the illustration.
(d) Remove the front door lock with motor assembly.
(e) When reusing the front door lock with motor assembly (w/o Double Locking System):
(1) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock with motor assembly. |

(f) When reusing the front door lock with motor assembly (w/ Double Locking System):
(1) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock with motor assembly. |

16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Double Locking System)
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.

17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) w/o Double Locking System:
(1) Disengage the guide to remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly from the front door lock with motor assembly. |

(b) w/ Double Locking System:
(1) Disengage the guide to remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly from the front door lock with motor assembly. |

18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) w/o Double Locking System:
(1) Disengage the guide to remove the front door inside locking cable assembly from the front door lock with motor assembly. |

(b) w/ Double Locking System:
(1) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.
