PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT AIRBAG CUT-OFF INDICATOR LIGHT (CLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) Check illumination.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the airbag cut-off indicator light (clock assembly) and check that it illuminates.

OK:

Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (IG+)

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (P-AB)

Front Passenger Airbag indicator illuminates

Airbag OFF indicator illuminates

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (IG+)

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (PAON)

Front Passenger Airbag indicator illuminates

Airbag ON indicator illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the airbag cut-off indicator light (clock assembly).
