SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM

(a) The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

Actuation Area-linked*1

When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the items listed to the right turn on.

  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly

Door Lock/Unlock-linked

When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Door Ambient Illumination Light)*3
  • Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Garnish (Cup Holder Illumination Light)*3

When the all doors is locked, the lights that operate turn off.

Door Open/Close-linked

When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Door Ambient Illumination Light)*3
  • Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Garnish (Cup Holder Illumination Light)*3
  • Engine Switch Illumination*1

When the ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON and all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.

  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly

Engine Switch-linked*1

When the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly

Ignition Switch-linked*2

When the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly

Shift Position-linked*3

When the shift lever is moved from P to any other position, the lights that operate dim.

  • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Door Ambient Illumination Light)*3
  • Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Garnish (Cup Holder Illumination Light)*3

Delay

When approximately 15 seconds elapse after the following condition is met, the lights that operate turn off (*1):

  • An actuation area-linked function is used.
  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly

When approximately 15 seconds elapse after the following condition is met, the lights that operate turn off:

  • An engine switch-linked function is used.*1
  • An ignition switch-linked function is used.*2
  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Door Ambient Illumination Light)*3
  • Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Garnish (Cup Holder Illumination Light)*3

When approximately 15 seconds elapse after either of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:

  • The door unlock-linked function is active.
  • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the ignition switch is off.
  • Map Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Room Light Assembly
  • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Door Ambient Illumination Light)*3
  • Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Garnish (Cup Holder Illumination Light)*3

  • *3: w/ Door Ambient Illumination Light

BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) The battery saving control system has the following control functions:

Basic function

When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

HINT:

Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.

  • The ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON.
  • Any door is opened and closed.
  • The luggage compartment door is opened and closed.
  • Any door is unlocked.
  • The key enters any exterior actuation area.

  • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Door Ambient Illumination Light)*1
  • Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Garnish (Cup Holder Illumination Light)*1

Interior light auto cut function

When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

HINT:

Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.
