OPERATION CHECK
FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY INSPECTION
(a) AUTO Wiper Inspection (w/ Rain Sensor)
(1) Continuously apply water to the windshield glass in front of the rain sensor.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(3) Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the AUTO position.
(4) Check that the wipers move.
(b) Intermittent operation inspection (w/o Rain Sensor)
(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(2) Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the INT position.
(3) Check that the wipers move intermittently.
WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY INSPECTION
(a) Washer operation inspection (front)
(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(2) Operate the washer switch (front) for approximately 0.5 seconds or more and confirm that the front wipers operate in the LO setting when the washer fluid is sprayed and that the front wipers cycle 3 times after releasing the washer switch (front).
(b) Washer operation inspection (rear)
(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(2) While the windshield wiper switch assembly (rear wiper control switch) to is set to OFF, operate the washer switch (rear) for approximately 0.5 seconds or more and check that the rear wiper operates when the washer fluid is sprayed.
(3) Check that the rear wiper operates for approximately 2.5 seconds after releasing the washer switch (rear).
(c) Drip prevention wiper function
(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(2) At a vehicle speed of approximately less than 4 km/h (2 mph), check that the front wipers operate for 1 cycle approximately 3 seconds after washer cooperation completes.
REAR WIPER MOTOR AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY DELAY INSPECTION
(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(b) Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the INT position.
(c) Check that the rear wiper operates once approximately every 12 seconds.
