DESCRIPTION

The headlight unit (headlight leveling motor) receives a signal from the headlight control ECU sub-assembly to operate. The headlight control ECU sub-assembly receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight unit (headlight leveling motor).

PROCEDURE

1.

CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs.

Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs

2.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Turn on the headlights using the headlight dimmer switch.

(c) Check for DTCs.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVE THE LEVELING MOTOR)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

(f) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

(a) Temporarily replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight leveling motor) with a new or normally functioning one.

(b) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.
