INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT STEERING HEATER SWITCH

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Specified Condition

9 (IG) - 6 (B)

switch pushed

Below 1 Ω

9 (IG) - 6 (B)

switch not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the steering heater switch.

(Steering Heater Switch)

(b) Check that the illumination illuminates.

(1) Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the steering heater switch.

Standard:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → 7 (ILL-)

Illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the steering heater switch.
