PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for LHD)

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

13 (+) - 8 (E)

Switch pushed

Below 1 Ω

13 (+) - 8 (E)

Switch not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

2. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for RHD)

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

11 (+) - 8 (E)

Switch pushed

Below 1 Ω

11 (+) - 8 (E)

Switch not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC OFF switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).
