PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM
(a) When using the Techstream with the engine switch off, connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and the vehicle begins. Then select the vehicle type under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key. While using the Techstream, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the Techstream and the vehicle.
PRECAUTION FOR REGISTRATION
(a) If replacing any of the following parts, refer to Registration.
(1) Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
(2) ID code box (immobiliser code ECU)
(3) Steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly)
(4) Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly
(5) ECM
(6) Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
PRECAUTIONS FOR BATTERY
(a) The entry unlock function may not operate immediately after the cables are reconnected to the battery. If this occurs, the entry unlock function can be restored by performing a wireless door lock and unlock or mechanical key operation.
(b) When the battery is discharged, if the battery of another vehicle is used to jump start the engine, move the shift lever to P and open and close the driver door with the engine switch off before starting the engine.
(c) After the battery is removed and reinstalled, be sure to wait at least 10 seconds before the next engine start. The engine may not start immediately after the battery is reinstalled.
